Sometimes the one who runs away is actually the one who wants to stay the most. Sometimes the one who smiles is carrying the greatest pain. It can be that the strongest has been strong for a long time... and that the one who has people around them all the time still feels the loneliest of all.
Sometimes the one who always keeps running needs to stop. Sometimes a warm hug from someone you love is the only thing that really helps. That kind of hug that lasts a long time, when no one wants to let go. A hug that says, “I’m here for you, and I’m not going anywhere.”
Sometimes we just need someone else who lights up... someone who walks by your side. It can’t be just anyone; it has to be someone “in sync.”
When it happens, it’s a blessing. You can’t control or steer it. Love is its own sustaining power. It’s beyond everything we think, everything we feel, everything we believe. It comes and goes as it wants.
Some say love is a power always available to us - for anyone to tune in to at any time. But sometimes we need to experience it and feel it through someone else. There are moments when nothing is as healing as having someone else’s hand in yours.
To meet someone else’s gaze and feel how warmth spreads through your entire body. Sometimes there’s nothing greater than that.
